About this listen
It was a quiet morning at Fanny's parents' farmhouse. The warm summer breeze was drifting in through her upstairs bedroom window. Fanny loved summertime, especially, being awoken to the sound of her favorite songbirds singing.
"It's sure quiet this morning," Fanny thought to herself as she awoke from her sleep. "I don't hear any of the songbirds singing. Something doesn't seem right. I had better go outside and take a look around."
Fanny climbed out of bed dressed then went downstairs to go outside onto the front porch. Fanny always took her best friend - Natalie, her stuffed beaver toy - with her when she would go outside to play so she would have someone to talk to....
