The Selfish Giant and The Happy Prince are two of the most famous and best loved children's stories by Oscar Wilde.
These were read to me by my mother when I was a child, and were read by my wife and me to our daughter when she was a child.
We all loved them and listened to them again and again with joy, delight and ever-increasing appreciation for their tenderness, goodness and beauty. When listening to and reading these wonderful stories, one somehow feels in the realm of the sacred.
Although recommended for children between the ages of 6 and 10, these stories can be appreciated by much younger children and listeners of all ages.
