Good Guide for Self-Learners

This is a good guide for self-learners who want to establish a study plan and structure to retain information. The first chapter is about motivation and learning, which may already be familiar to many (e.g., extrinsic and intrinsic motivation). To get the most out of this book, pick a subject to learn and apply the technique SQ3R:
* Survey: Get a general overview of what you're reading. Establish the goals you want to achieve from reading the book.
* Question: Write down questions you have on the subject.
* Read: Read the book. Learn to speed read so you're not sub-vocalizing (saying the words in your head), which unnecessarily slows you down.
* Recite: Recite the main points in your own words.
* Review: Write test questions for yourself. Can you answer the questions? Can you explain the concepts?

Concise yet profound.

Short, sweet, and to the point; yet not lacking in valuable substance. This book may change the way you read and carry out research. Not to mention altogether motivating.

Profound Ways to Approach Self-Learning

This was a very informative book. I enjoyed the way the author gave a brake-down of new Ideas to self-learning. He pecked the ways I have unsuccessfully tried to approach educating myself and gave profound ways to approach self-learning from a different perspective. It is my belief that others reading this book will benefit greatly from its ideas.
