The amazingly talented Vanessa Edwin and Teddy Hamilton bring Everly and Max to life as the grumpy goalie and the PR rep for his team. It starts with the misunderstanding that both seem to think the other hates them but really they find each other sexy. Both have trust issues and things that happened in their past but during a project to revamp Max's negative social media presence, they learn more about each other than expected.
I loved this story.

The Romance Line completely stole my heart! I absolutely adored Max—his grumpy exterior, dry humor, and hidden layers made him so relatable. I found myself connecting with him in such a personal way, especially in how he tried to guard his heart. And Everly? She was pure sunshine. Her fun, outgoing personality brought the perfect balance to Max’s seriousness, and I loved every single moment of their dynamic.
Their chemistry was off-the-charts, and the banter between them had me smiling constantly. Lauren Blakely does such a fantastic job crafting characters who feel real, and this book had just the right mix of emotion, humor, and swoon-worthy romance.

The Romance Line audiobook was an absolute treat! I’m a huge fan of duet narration, and this one was fantastic. The performers brought Max and Everly to life so vividly—it felt like I was right there with them through every flirty moment, every emotional beat, and every witty exchange.

I love a hockey romance book. Lauren Blakely is a great writer and you know what you're going to get. Spice, fun, animals, a few tears and of course a happy ending. This is book 2 in the series and follows PR star Everly and goalie Max. It's a bit forbidden, grumpy/sunshine, workplace romance. The narrators do a great job. Highly recommend.

This was so perfect, loved the narrators and I really love duet narration. As with all Lauren’s characters, Max and Everly are truly wonderful characters as they overcome their differences, fall in love and get their happily ever after. I was so disappointed when the book was finished.

Like most hockey series, I’ve found that book 2 is where it starts to hit its stride, and this one is no exception. Maybe a little less spicy than the first book, with a lot more emotion connected to those scenes, but I loved spending time with these characters, and Everley’s story in particular.

Teddy and Vanessa are always great paired together and really make the more comic scenes zing with their narration.
