I love Chakraborty's characters. I was happy to be reunited with them, and see them develop further.

Beautiful addition to the trilogy

A pleasure to return to the magic of Daevabad. These short stories are well written and add detail to the pre-existing trilogy. But it's mostly a whole lot of grief, angst and trauma after effects. For a world full of magic I was hoping for a bit more wonder, fun and happiness. The final story does offer some beautiful sweetness at last.

Decent
