In an isolated house by Dugort pier a body is found. DS Lucy Golden is shocked to discover that the victim, Sandra Byrne, is a sister of one of her old school friends. To further complicate matters, Ben Lively, one of Lucy's colleagues, is the chief suspect. Lucy must put aside her bias in order to uncover the truth. For the record, I'd like to say that Aoife McMahon is an incredible narrator - up there with Adam Sims in my opinion!!
The Reckoning is a brilliant story spanning different periods of time, and with multiple plot threads. Almost everyone or anyone could have done it, and how the power of assumptions was handled was very interesting and thought provoking. I loved this book - would highly recommend.

I listened to the first of Martina’s books and absolutely loved it. I went straight on to purchase the next two and devour them. Her stories are entertaining, full of intriguing characters, pacey, funny, serious. There are just so many elements to them.

Love this narrator and always search her name for my next listen. This author quickly becoming one of my all time favourites too! Clever story lines and am really invested in all the characters now. I hope the series doesn't end with book 4 🙏
