Publisher's Summary

When a battle with death-dealing Skinners catapults Daine and her mentor, Numair, into the divine realms, the riddles of Daine’s past finally begin to reveal themselves. However, the pair must return to their beloved Tortall, for the kingdom is under attack and survival depends on Daine’s wild magic.

A harrowing journey across the divine realms leads Daine and Numair through danger to dragons; to a breathtaking confrontation with their great enemy Ozorne; and finally brings Daine face to face with the Great Gods, who will force the girl to make the most important decision of her life.

Filled with breathtaking peril, lightened by deft moments of comedy (wait till you meet the darkings!), The Realms of the Gods is a fitting conclusion to one of the great fantasy series of our time. An exclusive interview with Tamora Pierce about writing The Immortals Quartet concludes the recording.

Critic Reviews

"The fast-paced, violent action is leavened by bits of humor as well as the blossoming romance between Daine and Numair. All in all, a satisfying ending to an appealing saga." ( Booklist)

Amazing

I have read these books over and over since I was a teenager and truly enjoyed having them read to me this time. Plus with Tamora herself and a full cast audio made it fantastic! Such fantastic stories, thank you

Amazing story

Like all Tamora Pierce's books, this was one epic adventure, and was performed beautifully. I love that she narrates and I love that they asked her about her writing at the end. I fangirled hard haha. Her stories are the reason I love fantasy so dearly.

The only downside to this particular series is that a line is crossed between teacher and student. It doesn't matter that she's older now, he was always a power over her and that's not okay.

I wish she didn’t narrate

Tamora is a wonderful writer, but a medium performer. I wish that she had trusted someone else to bring this story to life in sound, so that we got the full highs and lows of the action and emotion in these stories. Plus her pronunciation of “niche” while technically is not incorrect, is still the wrong choice of pronunciation.
