Publisher's Summary

A number-one best seller in inspirational romance and an Amazon top-30 best seller!

They say it happens when you least expect it.

It did for me.

It started the moment I saw the simple message pop up on my computer screen:

Cameron’s Mac: Hi.

And when I met the eyes of the gorgeous man messaging me from across the coffee shop, I never thought my reply would lead to the most intense, sexual, and passionate relationship of my life.

We both agreed to check our bags at the door and put our future hopes and aspirations on the table.

It worked.

I fell in love with his no-holds-barred attitude, sexy smirk, and undeniably good heart...and for a while we forgot about our baggage. We happily tripped over it to get to the other, neither of us willing to show the contents of our pasts in the off-chance it could ruin us.

We built our love on a foundation of gray.

It was life in black and white that threatened to tear us apart.

good story/great narration

This is my first read from Kate Stewart. I pre-ordered this audio read because Lance Greenfield narrates . Both narrators did a great job. The story and secondary characters were good as well. Parts of the story were even funny. I deducted a star because it felt like one book up until about chapter 20 . All narrated by Callie at this point. Then the dramatics happen. (please don't read spoilers about this). Then I finally get to hear Lance. I understand why now. But was annoyed somewhat during the first 20 chapters. This part of the book felt different. Like we are finally getting to know Cameron in the last third of the book. The first two thirds was about Abby. I would have preferred to more about him sooner, but I understand why she wrote it this way. Over all, I would recommend reading or listening. I'll seek out more by Kate, and also re-read this one as well.

Surprising!

Initially this sounded and played out like a sweet love story. Events turned surprisingly. Enjoyable!

Not worth the credit

The book got annoying after a while...the story dragged. Hoping to return it. The characters are too much and fake.

meh

there was a good twist Midway that kept me reading but some of the sex was unrealistic and unnecessary.

First book by a new to me author.

This was my first Kate Stewart book. And I’m going to say that I need to read this one to give it a better understanding. I found it hard to hear Cameron’s mac and Abbey’s mac over and over again. But I persevered and found it glad that I had because it was a very interesting story and had surprising elements that I hadn’t seen coming. It was full of emotion and had great substance. The narrative was great as well but IMO I want to read this book rather than hear it so that I don’t have to hear about whose MAC is talking. I was gifted this audiobook in exchange for my review.

Great Listen

I grabbed this from Audible Escape and when I wasn't listening, I read all the paperback.

it was cool being able to put a "VOICE" to the characters and the female's interpretation of Bree was my favorite and I found myself reading with a southern accent.

Kate Stewart pulled some "well buried" emotions out of me.

This was an enjoyable read and listen and I absolutely recommend THE REAL.

You and I don't deal in absolutes and perfections

I am such a fan of Kate Stewart! She is a pro at toying with emotions in her books in just the right ways. She did such a great job of helping you to feel Cameron and Abbie's story. You went on the journey with them through all the highs and the lows. I thought the way they met so untraditional but I loved how the meeting and the relationship progressed. I loved how out of no where the twist happens and I did not see coming but it was perfect. This story is great with great supporting characters. I always want a spin off when I am done with Stewarts book because I cannot get enough!

Emotion Overload!

This book has a captivating storyline that grabs you right from the start keeping you engrossed and on edge throughout the whole book!
Intensely sensuous, wrought with emotion, and so well written that I absolutely could not put it down!
I loved the emotion of the book and you could truly feel the characters through the narrators.

a C minus book from A plus author the voices Aplus

I felt like the story was long. both parties had a secret to tell. Cameron had 2 secrets one he was ashamed of his secrets where bigger then Abby's. I felt like if Abby truly loved Cameron she should given him the benefit of telling his side instead of shutting down and ignoring Cameron.
