It is said that all who live belong ultimately to the Undying King. In the shadowy lands of Shyish, Nagash, God of Death, calls forth his soulless legions to reassert his dominion. His dread advance begins with the free city of Glymmsforge, bastion of Azyr in the Realm of Death. Standing between Nagash and his prize are the brooding Anvils of the Heldenhammer, an ancient host of Stormcast Eternals, and Lord-Castellant Pharus Thaum, guardian of the Ten Thousand Tombs. As battles between the living and the dead rage throughout the Mortal Realms, the War of Heaven and Death begins anew.

Within this book you will find Hammerhal, a fantastic new novella from Josh Reynolds: Dark forces stir within the bowers of the mysterious Hexwood. A great warhost of Tzaangor beastkin, creatures devoted to Tzeentch, the Architect of Fate, defile the once verdant lands of Ghyran. All that opposes them are the noble Stormcast Eternals of the Hallowed Knights. Reforged in resplendent sigmarite and wielding the lightning of Azyr, few can stand against these heroes. Also within this book is a host of awesome short stories giving you a flavour of the many warring armies that exist within the worlds of Warhammer Age of Sigmar.

Good story, but, far to short.
its was well done, in terms of story and narration. But, way to short, not worth the money or free credit.

This book expresses Manfreds cunning to an extent that has made me eager to write this review and get the next book. Manfred doesn't like rather using selective and we'll timed honesty to build trust while using others interests to further his own... oh, Manfred.

A bland Stormcast adventure, but with little twist
Over all, this audio drama was well put together. But it does not really motivate its price tag of 8 GBP for 1 hour of content. I would have been happier to pay a bit more for a package of the entire series instead. The sound effects and voice acting were good throughout, not much to critique. The story is continued in Sands of Blood, and here serves to set up the characters and their goals and relationships. If you have read any other novel with Stormcast Eternals in the Realmgate Wars series, this audio drama is much of the same but with voice acting and sound effects.
So far the story is nothing special, there is a lot of fighting with chaos (Khorne), which by this point is growing old on me. It will however be interesting to see where the story goes from here. If this was a stand alone 60 min adventure I would tell you to stay far away, but if you see it as a introduction to another, greater story, it might be well worth your time.
