Publisher's Summary

Her first mission: protect the prince.

From USA Today best-selling author Jillian Dodd comes the first audiobook in a sizzling series filled with action and adventure. Fans of The Selection and the Hunger Games will discover a heart-pounding thrill ride of espionage and suspense set in glittering high society.

An 18-year-old covert agent is pulled out of training before graduation by Black X, an espionage group so secret even the president of the United States doesn't know it exists.

For her first mission, she must go undercover as the long-lost daughter of a recently deceased billionaire, infiltrate high society, and protect the prince of Montrovia from assassination. But Prince Lorenzo is known as the Playboy Prince for a reason, and his sensuality and charisma add a whole other level of complication to her mission.

She knows her every move is being watched, but what she doesn't know is that the prince is just a chess piece in a bigger game that will have worldwide ramifications. And that Blackwood Academy, the place she has called home for the past six years, has secrets of its own.

Intriguing

Crossing Bond with Cinderella and a bit of Mission Impossible makes this an awesome read. Although I wasn’t sure for the first half of the book I kept listening and really enjoyed the story. I laughed and cried, and didn’t put this down until I finished the book. Waiting to hear more about the bigger story behind the scenes, you will have me listening to more!

Couldn’t get past the first chapter...

No issues with the narration. The protagonist, however, completely turned me off from reading any further. An unabashed promiscuous heroine is poor character choice for a book that is directed towards our youth.

Loved it!

When The Prince ebook was released in 2016, I knew it was an immediate one-click for me once I read the blurb! Author Jillian Dodd's That Boy series and her Keatyn Chronicles books were such favorites, I knew I would love this too. I am a big fan of the TV series Alias, and the blurb made me think of Sydney Bristow so I couldn't wait to read it.

It did not disappoint! I devoured it in a day and absolutely couldn't put it down. It was sexy, humorous, full of charming men, and just plain fun to read! Huntley is such a badass spy.

I just finished the audiobook and it was fantastic! Hayden Bishop was new to me, and I enjoyed her work. I am glad to see she narrated the compete set of Spy Girl books.

Poor casting

As lovely as the narrator might be, I maintain her voice is all kinds of wrong for Huntley. Not to mention the myriad of other characters that require a slew of accents? Not the best choice at all. And, most likely more than one narrator should have been utilized.
