About this listen
As a Man Thinketh, by James Allen, gives examples to illustrate how "mind is the master weaver, both of the inner garment of character and the outer garment of circumstance," so that people may begin to weave in enlightenment and happiness.

The first is God-help the second self-help. The first is warm and abounding with life, the second is cold and leads to death. Why are these books compiled together? Did the publish wish to juxtapose the way of the spirit and the way of the flesh? Surely they did not believe that “practicing the presence” was imaginative self-affirmation!
Take the time to listen to the first book, but do your self a favour by skipping the second. It is impossible for any rational person to wholly accept the premise of both these books - you must decide which path you take.
Father, teach me to love you as did our dear Brother Lawrence.
1 good book & 1 bad book
