About this listen
Frankie Bishop had only been married for a few months when he became a widower, leaving him with a mountain of debts, a business on the edge of ruin, and a parrot called Hank Marvin.
Three years later, the business is finally thriving, and Frankie finds himself ready to look for love again. It comes as a complete surprise to discover that he’s developed feelings for Con — his late husband’s best friend and now Frankie’s business partner.
Why did he overlook the gorgeous man who's been by his side through everything? Even more importantly, how can he tell Con about his feelings when Con seems to have suddenly found love with another man?

These two have been secretly crushing hard on each other for a long time but neither of them know. It’s not until Con brings someone home that Frankie realises just how deep his feelings go.
This one was a bit of a slow burn. It was witty, sweet, filled with meddling friends, and two men who were both too timid to tell the other how they feel until a mishap with a hotel booking sees them sharing one bed - woo hoo!!!! Great side characters too.

So many cute elements like way too slowly figuring out he has feelings for his best friend and an only one bed scenario.
Cute, funny, low angst but with some serious feelings involving the previous loss of his husband.
Lily Morton is always exceptional and Joel Leslie is my favourite narrator who can do no wrong!
Loved this!
