These are the adventures of Pik and Pok, two worms that live at the bottom of a garden in rural Wiltshire. Mr. Pok, the king worm lives with Pok, a young worm, in their wormery at the bottom of Mrs Bakewell's garden.
She took pity on the worms and made a wormery for them with all the comforts of home. They receive regular treats from her. It's all about their own little world as they perceive it, described by themselves.
From the children who have heard the stories, it certainly kept them enthralled.
