Wonderful story!

I enjoyed how this story weaved so many memorable characters into the plot of the story. as a listener, you grew to know them all. ambition, love and rejection, or duty, played such a role in the story. I was sorry it had to end!

BBC dramatizations prove highly entertaining.

Most enjoyable version of Trollope's novel. The only criticism is that the voices became a little too soft during intimate conversations.

Warning: highly addictive!

Obligatory for fans of the Chronicles of Barchester. Some characters from those stories reappear here in sublime tales of political ambition, unrequited love and social climbing.

A superb rendering of Trollope’s novels

Reaching the end of this sublime series was like losing a dear friend. Suspenseful, funny and heartbreaking, Trollope is truly one of England’s greatest storytellers. The quintessential guide to what it means to be English.
