Publisher's Summary

The gripping new psychological thriller from top 10 best-selling author and award-winning journalist, Caroline Overington

Emma Cardwell is the top-rating host of a morning TV show, Cuppa, beloved by audiences and only occasionally stalked by crazy fans. She seems to have it all: fame, money, a gorgeous family, but then her tiny daughter disappears from day care, and Emma's entire life is turned on its head.

Is this a kidnapping, a product of her high profile, or is somebody out for revenge?

As the hours tick by and the pressure mounts, everything comes under scrutiny, including her own marriage, and Emma is forced to confront an aching question: Can we trust the ones we love?

Praise for Caroline Overington:

"Overington keeps you guessing until the last." (Daily Telegraph)

"Caroline Overington has an ability to home in on the darker, unsettling sides of life, seizing upon topics you might see headlining the news and spinning them into gripping page-turners." (Australian Women's Weekly)

Okaaay

Such a basic story stretched out over many hours. Didn't love it but I persisted.

Loud and overly dramatic.

I really struggled with this one. The narration felt patronising, like a teacher reading to a group of four year olds. Too much shouting and terrible over-acting, with unrealistic accents.

it was so predictable from start to finish...

Just so predictable and struggled to keep listening. The narrator was terrible, so Aussie Bogan.

The Ones You Trust

I REALLY enjoyed this book. The story and plot was incredibly well written; the narrator, Jennifer Vuletic, was excellent, each character well the represented and identifiable. Will definitely look for more by both. Highly recommended.

Could not get into this

I couldn't finish this over an hour in and I could barely stand to listen to another minute... didn't even make it to the kidnapped child part... lacking in depth in character and story. returned it unfortunately.

story good execution average

i found somenof the dialogue round about and overly descriptive. the ending was unnecessarily longwinded. whoever edited the final copy should be retrained.
