Summary
Everyone says kindness costs nothing. It's a lie. Kindness can cost you everything.
Sebastian
The only decent thing my high school bully ever did for me got him sent to prison. Aidan was a jerk, but he saved me from making the worst mistake of my life, and in return, my parents ruined him. Now that he's out, I'm determined to make amends. No matter what he needs, no matter how long it takes, I will make it all up to him. But first I'll have to figure out how to hide my attraction to my sexy, confusing new roommate.
Aidan
Saving him cost me everything. I have nothing and no one—except Sebastian. He's determined to make good on a debt I never asked him to repay. He's offering me money, a place to stay, and help adjusting to life on the outside. But all I'm really wondering is . . . who can save Sebastian from me—the desperate bisexual ex-con who probably wants more from him than he's willing to give?
Contains mature themes.

I really enjoyed this bumpy but heartwarming ride. As well as the guilt, Sebastian is suffering from panic attacks he hasn’t learnt to master. Aidan has an understandably jaundiced view of a world that would jail an innocent man on fabricated evidence and he lives in fear of the police. The two are hesitant, unsure of how the other will receive their advances, and are targeted by malicious, interfering family and supposed friends. There’s some welcome heat and the slow trust that builds between them is lovely to watch. 🎧 I absolutely love the velvety sound of Chris Chambers’ voice, he always does a great job on projecting emotion. Here he pitches his voice low for Aidan and higher for Sebastian and it works well. Looking forward to the next in the series!

These two are the cutest couple ever I love there dynamic I love there history ahhhhh just everything.
There personality’s are what drew me In immediately i love that the guy that went to prison looks really big and intimidating but with him he’s a sweetheart and so thoughtful and that the other guy under all his truma and anxiety is quite demanding and confident I wish we saw more of it but he has a lot of healing to do so it makes sense omg I just love them and the way they are with each other I cannot recommend this book enough if you want a really good kinda chill romance.
I’m putting trigger warnings below and I tryed to explain everything that happens to do with those warnings but if you don’t want to read what happens here’s just the warnings
Non graphic off page sexual assault
Parental abuse
Forcebly heavily medicated (I don’t know the term)
Panic attacks
Trigger warning for off page sexual assault he just explained what happened. He was drunk and a character we see a few times in the book puts his finger inside him without consent while they were making out it’s not violent or anything.
And he also kinda hints at some other bad stuff to do with blow jobs he didn’t want the other guy to hold his head while he was going down on him he jumped away when he did. It’s not graphic and they don’t go into any detail.
The other guy had something in the same realm as that but it was more of a violation of privacy he got a blow job in prison and everything was fine until he saw some rando touching himself while watching him he doesn’t have any lasting effects from that but it did make him very uncomfortable
All three of these things are like passing comments but shit dose go down with the guy that sexually assaulted him
The parents abuse is just verbal and they were extremely controlling and they forced him to be heavily medicated for a year we don’t see that he just explains it and he still takes xanex when he has a panic attack.
My biggest trigger Is sexual assault and rape it fucks me up and I was completely fine the first one I mentioned was uncomfortable but it’s not explained again after that so I got over it very quickly and if I missed anything I’m very sorry I don’t have the best memory. Be safe<3 and omg if your able READ THIS BOOK is just the cutest thing ever I will be rereading this one a lot in the future I can feel it
SO CUTE
