Loved it. It isn't as much of a psychological thriller as I thought it would be. But I loved where it went. Quite emotional at times and I loved the slow-growing relationship between the main character and the mother-in-law. The 'who done it' was obvious to me from the start but it usually is. So that's nothing against the author. Besides, I don't think the mystery was the highlight of the book. It was the relationships and I really enjoyed it.

The story was excellent quite a few twists very honest and confronting and I actually quite like the way it went back-and-forth because it didn’t lose you. I’ve listened to many books with this narrator and I will look and see if she is narrating and be drawn to a book because of her voice. It is just perfect for these stories.

Sally Hepworth has a gift in observing the subtle nuances of family relationships and everyday life challenges then developing clever plots around them. I’ve only just discovered her and read two books back to back, will now go for a third! Entertaining.
