Publisher's Summary

After the death of her father - Pa Salt, an elusive billionaire who adopted his six daughters from around the globe - Tiggy D’Aplièse, trusting her instincts, moves to the remote wilds of Scotland. There she takes a job doing what she loves: caring for animals on the vast and isolated Kinnaird estate, employed by the enigmatic and troubled Laird, Charlie Kinnaird.

Her decision alters her future irrevocably when Chilly, an ancient gypsy who has lived for years on the estate, tells her that not only does she possess a sixth sense, passed down from her ancestors, but it was foretold long ago that he would be the one to send her back home to Granada in Spain.

In the shadow of the magnificent Alhambra, Tiggy discovers her connection to the fabled gypsy community of Sacromonte, who were forced to flee their homes during the civil war, and to ‘La Candela’, the greatest flamenco dancer of her generation. From the Scottish Highlands and Spain to South America and New York, Tiggy follows the trail back to her own exotic but complex past. And under the watchful eye of a gifted gypsy bruja, she begins to embrace her own talent for healing.

But when fate takes a hand, Tiggy must decide whether to stay with her newfound family or return to Kinnaird and Charlie....

Another engaging installment in the series

With this being the 5th book in the 7 sisters series still enjoying the journey of each sister's discovery of their origins.

Most of all I enjoy the places and different times these books take us. The history, heritage and cultures enrich me.

With each book we appear to be getting closer to the mystery that is Pa Salt and is there a 7th Sister?

A highly recommended series.

Second time listening

As Pa Salt took so long to come out. I am Re listening to the last few stories. The prob is, even after buying and listening to theses stories audible has taken them OFF my library, if I have paid for them they should remain until I remove them. Now I have to try and find Electas story again. I am NOT going to pay for it again, but I have to say relistening to the sisters story’s after so long, is really making me look forward to PA story. Hopefully I will get to it before AUDIBLE removes it 😢😢😢😢

Slow and

Not as engaging nor as believable.
I found the main characters needed some credulity - too much time spent in the back story.

a good continuation of the saga

this story was good but did not wow me as much as some of the others. I liked the historical element more than the contemporary story.

Tedious overall, distracting narration

This novel was tedious, compared to the other novels in the series. I feel the whole novel could have been condensed into one short story. It was a very poor cousin to the previous novels in the series. I found the sexual-harassment of the main character in the workplace to be poorly handled by the author, and was quite distressing at times to read. The nasal tone of the narrator was possibly trying to emulate tiggy’s past respiratory issues, but listening for hour after hour on this audiobook was just too much. To be honest, I skipped much of the historical parts of the story When it flashback to Granada. It was just too tedious and by just popping in and out of those chapters it was quite easy to get a gist of what was going on. The ‘who done it’ aspect was pretty heavy handed. The spiritual or magical, or otherworldly nature of the story Was hard for me to embrace. I am really hoping The Sun Sister audiobook is better than this one. I will be requesting a credit for returning this book. I suppose you have to engage with the general story to figure out if there’s anything you need to hear in terms of enjoying the whole series, however it’s really not worth it.
