Publisher's Summary

Josephine Dakota Modeen: Beautiful. Noble. Deadly.

After passing the grueling entry programme to become the first woman to be accepted into Australia’s elite Special Forces and earning the Medal for Gallantry in action, ex-soldier Jo Modeen is left wondering what’s next. And for a civilian with her unique skills, the options are somewhat limited. When unexpectedly contacted by her old CO Ben Logan VC MG, now team leader with an Australian national security agency, she knows it's not a social call. What she doesn’t know is how it will change her life….

With a salute to Russell Blake’s thrilling Jet and Lee Child's tough-as-nails Jack Reacher, The Modeen Factor introduces Jo Modeen MG, the kick-ass heroine we’d all like to have on our side.

Big Thumbs Up

Read this book when it first came out and really enjoyed it, so much so, I bought the audio book.
I enjoyed it even more the second time, it has a nice pace with enough action to keep you listening and wanting more. I actually have all the Modeen books in soft cover and believe me, the action gets ramped up!

At the beginning of the book the narrator sounds new to the business but soon hits her straps and sounds seasoned and confident. I really like the level of sound effects and music, subtle.

Pointless

A random series of mini adventures with no tension or plot complexity. Character development is weak. Irritating musical stings and ridiculous sound effects are distracting.
