In Cambridge a child has been hideously murdered and other children have disappeared. The Jews, made scapegoats by the all-powerful Christian clergy, have been forced to retreat into the castle to avoid slaughter by angry townspeople. Henry, King of England, is displeased. I will be looking for more books by this author. enjoyed the fact that the main character was a strong woman

I had read this book several years ago and really loved it and love all of her books but the narration really adds a great deal to an already wonderful story.

Some aspects stretch credulity but it is, after all, a work of fiction.
I'll be continuing with this series.
