A missing patient is a hospital ward's worst nightmare - until even more people disappear.

Senior Midwife Lucy Ryuan is used to guiding expectant mothers through pregnancy. But when two kidnappings and a vicious stabbing happen on her watch, her focus abruptly changes. Something has to be done, and Lucy is fearless enough to try. As rumours and accusations fly around Manhattan, Lucy teams up with a sceptical NYPD detective to solve the case. But the truth is far more twisted than either of them could ever have imagined.

loved this book

I love James Patterson and read many of his books. This was the first book I'd listened to one. The title stood out to me as containing 2 of my favourite things in life - nursing and babies! I thoroughly enjoyed it so much, I listened every chance I got, while walking, knitting, cooking. I will definitely be doing it again soon. Once I got used to her voice, I thought the reader did an excellent job. Thank you Audible 😊

The Midwife Murders

Really didn't want this to end, loved the story, the characters and the insight into midwifery. As usual, the murder was unpredictable and excellent, but sad in it's own way. The narration was excellent.
