Not the greatest narration

I have enjoyed alot of cj archers books. this series tho has been a bit lacking compared to her others ie glass and steele.
I found the narration on this poor quality. There was mispronunciation of words and the incorrect timing of inflections throughout nearly drove me mad.
this one was not an easy listen.
will be forgoing the next two books by this narrator.

Agree with all previous comments

I love CJ Archer, which is what makes me stick it out and listen to the books regardless of the narration.

I was trying to work out if she had a Aussie accent at one point. The pronunciation of words were a bit odd here and there.. but the story always kept me hooked!

In all honesty I don’t think anyone can compare to Marian Hussey when it comes to CJ Archer books so perhaps that’s what’s adding to it.

I don’t wish to put the narrator down it’s perhaps not the right book for them having all different characters and voices to cover.

The Narrator is AWFUL

The story is good. But this narrator is just so awful it ruins everything! I almost hope they re-record this with a decent narrator to give this story the opportunity to be told better

Great story. Not the right narrator for this genre

As always CJ Archer's books are spell binding and difficult to put down. I was so looking forward to the stories being narrated on Audible. I don't like mentioning negative comments about the narrator but in this case I feel I need to. Myself personally I felt the narrator was concentrating so hard on maintaining a British accent that the pronunciations of words were wrong and the voices had too much of a sing song tone about them. Viscount was mispronounced as Visscount and I felt that the narration spoilt the wonderful story. The 3rd set of stories of freak house are one of my favourites. Please, please can you bring back Lucy Rayner or Gemma Dawson. While I'm sure that Kasey Logan is a fantastic narrator, her voice maybe more suited for a different genre and I wish her all the best. Thank you.

Dreadful Narration

Is this a real narrator or is this an AI effort? Dreadful narration makes this audio book a truly painful experience.
The inhuman and incorrect pronunciation makes me think we are being sold a cheap AI experience.
After buying audiobooks for years, I am livid and horrified by this.
I urge all out there to find something else to listen to
Poor CJ Archer - her work is ruined by this narrator
