About this listen
The first-hand account of the life, career, and the practices of horror at Auschwitz, written by Auschwitz Kommandant SS Rudolf Hoss as he awaited execution for his crimes. Including his psychological interviews at Nuremberg.
©2016 Stephen R. Pastore (P)2016 Stephen R. PastoreHearing the point of view of an SS Soilder was an interesting perspective. The cold, apathetic way in which he describes his part in the Holocaust is infuriating, especially when he tries to induce sympathy from the reader. Nonetheless, it is worth a read.. but gosh, it is rough.
The narrator did well to convey the vibe of old Hoss well while still keeping the tone interesting.
Interesting point of view, from an awful human.

A fascinating insight into one of the major players in the Holocaust.
Although the ideals and morals of this man are questionable , it's still an interesting journey into the mind of a passionate Nazi .
And to hear his thoughts in his own words is a rare opportunity .
But do listen to this book with an open mind , and you won't be disappointed
Insightful
