English crime novelist Charles Latimer is travelling in Istanbul when he makes the acquaintance of Turkish police inspector Colonel Haki. Read it many years ago. Enjoyed it just as much this time around. its amazing how "the more things change, the more they stay the same".

So little happens in this book I was surprised I was still engaged- but Anthony Howell’s reading was brilliant, and pulls you through to the end if the story.

The voice got me to the end.
