Eighty-six-year-old Sarah Brown was found murdered in her hallway by her delivery man, a domino clutched in her hand—with a name scratched on it. When another person is found dead with a domino in their hand, and with the police making no progress, the ladies will need to help unmask a serial killer. At least they have Fiona’s scruffy-haired terrier cross to assist them.

Publisher's Summary
Judith, Suzie and Becks return in the brilliant second crime novel in the Marlow Murder Club series, from the creator of the hit TV series, Death in Paradise.
It’s been an enjoyable and murder-free time for Judith, Suzie and Becks – AKA the Marlow Murder Club – since the events of last year. The most exciting thing on the horizon is the upcoming wedding of Marlow grandee, Sir Peter Bailey, to his nurse, Jenny Page. Sir Peter is having a party at his grand mansion on the river Thames the day before the wedding, and Judith and Co. are looking forward to a bit of free champagne.
But during the soiree, there’s a crash from inside the house, and when the Marlow Murder Club rush to investigate, they are shocked to find the groom-to-be crushed to death in his study.
The study was locked from the inside, so the police don’t consider the death suspicious. But Judith disagrees. As far as she's concerned, Peter was murdered! And it’s up to the Marlow Murder Club to find the killer before he or she strikes again....

Familial angst gets antsy
Judith the nudist swimmer, Suzie the dog lover and Becky the beatific are invited for canapes, champagne and chicanery by the local baron, who may or may not have the will and ability to die twice. With one victim, a pair of wellies, four to six suspects, a returning detective, all running amok in Marlow with 1 Michelin star.
Terribly enjoyable laugh out loud listen thank you Robert Thorogood, much appreciated. :-)

Intricate plot entwined with wonderful setting
The characterisation was well thought out. The plot had enough traditional crime genre, but given a modern twist.
The minor characters( particularly the male characters) a bit too stereotypical but I suspect this was used as a foil to highlight the feminist narrative.
Having said all that it was fun to read!

Waste of time, stupid and woke
Terrible book, bad woke storyline. Almost all of the male characters are stupid, incompetent and evil. Almost all of the female characters are brave, smart and wonderful. There’s also plenty of LGBT storylines and a really clumsy plug for ESG investing. The solution to the murder mystery is dumb and a giant let-down. Seriously, modern authors need to do better.
