Publisher's Summary

For years, Milo Talon had been riding the outlaw trail, looking for a man who had betrayed his family. Only Hank Rossiter wasn’t the man he had been. Old now and blind, Rossiter was trying desperately to hold on to a small ranch to support his daughter, Barbara. Suddenly Talon found himself in the middle of a range war, siding with the man he’d marked for payback. But had Rossiter really changed? And could his daughter be trusted by either of them?

For Milo, getting to the truth meant a long hard fight to separate his enemies from his friends - and forgiveness from revenge.

Twists, turns, and classic Lamour adventure!

Milo Talon is one of his better protagonists, and the mystery in this story rivals the best Lamour offers

Love L'Amout

I love L'Amour. I grew reading him because of my grandfather. When I pick up his books it's like my granddaddy is in the house with me.

This is now one of my favorite books. Andrew Macleod did an awesome job reading this book. Would love to see him do more of Louis L’Amour stories.

Learning

All of his stories are jam packed with truth drawn from his own life experience and the many letters and journals he collected over his adventurous life time.

Take a chance and read a western novel.

I have read about 80% of Louis L'Amour's books and short stories and have never been dissatisfied. They are exciting. I especially like the novels that include the Sacketts, the Talon's and Chantry's. The character building gives enough information that helps the reader understand their relationships. Many times I was reading a novel in a book form and sometimes Kindle and even Audible and there have been times I had to go back to previous chapters to understand which book I am reading. I have many hardback books, paperback books, and other forms of novels. I still have some that I have not read and again, I have read several books for a second, third, and even fourth times and each time I read a book, I say to myself, "Oh, yeah, I have already read this book and I will find parts of a story that I didn't catch the first time, but they are all enjoyable. Thanks to Louis and now, his children that are still finding literature that had never been published and they will make an effort to finish them, even though, we all know that no one is as good as Mr. L' Amour was. Thanks to all involved in publishing and re-publishing books.

Great reader. Loved the story.

I loved the story and the narrator made the story come to life. Odd ending but left things open for another book. Still liked the book.
