Editorial Reviews

A nostalgic tale that has been enthralling and delighting children for nearly 80 years, The Magic Faraway Tree is a bona fide classic by a beloved author that’s perfectly suited for bedtime listening. BAFTA and Academy Award-winning actress Kate Winslet elevates the story’s whimsy and awe, bringing a sense of wonder to each word.

Take a journey to the Enchanted Wood where you’ll find the gigantic, magical Faraway Tree: a tree so tall that the top tier of branches poke through the clouds and so wide that it contains small houses carved into its trunk. There, adventures await around every corner. Climb up the fairy-filled branches with Moon-Face, Silky the Fairy and Saucepan Man or visit the lands of Spells, Topsy-Turvy, and Do-As-You-Please. At each turn awaits a new friend that will stay with your children for the rest of their lives.

A Fantastic version of a childhood favourite

I loved this book as a child. The version read by Kate Winslet is fantastic. My nephews children (ages 4 and 5) and I listened on a long car trip. The children loved the story as much as I did as a child. It really does stand the test of time.

Wonderful

My 2 and a half year old absolutely loves this audiobook. As soon as she wakes up in the morning she wants to listen to it and even calls me (Mum) moonface, Dad the old washer woman (much to his dismay) and calls herself Silky or the angry pixie 😆 she also wants to know if I know Kate Winslet 😆

enchanting and entertaining

it seems like many kids's books today, are derivatives from ideas in Enid Blyton's imagination. Enjoyable and entertaining. would recommend to any child.
