This was awful.
The narrator was terrible, using the inflections in his voice to accent the wrong syllables in words. The conversations between the "tough men" characters ended up sounding like whining, bantering children rather than tough Navy Seals. The story jumped from one unbelievable event to another, and at times, did not make sense. One example: The main character left his trident in the cave, and yet used it in a later chapter, only to not have it again. The life-changing surgical procedure (on the main character) was only briefly touched upon, and the main character was cured! This book was not a good read and it sounded like an eighth-grader, with a mind full of fantastic escapades wrote it.

This is not a Preston AND Child book
Thought I was buying a Pendergast book... not the case. This book is laughably unrealistic, and the simplistic characters and their corny dialog made it difficult to finish. I don’t write reviews, but felt compelled to let others know that if they think they’re buying a “Preston and Child” to beware.

A well-written & enjoyable adventure
The Lost Treasure of the Knights Templar (The Last Templars Book 1), my first read from author Preston W. Child, an author I'd wanted to read for some time but never got around to him (so many books, so little time). Well-written and captivating with well-developed main characters reminding one of Christopher Cartwright's & Dan Brown’s writing. Narrator Daniel Gurzynski's narration adds to the book's enjoyment. I was given an Audible copy and am voluntarily reviewing it. I’ll be reading more by this author. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

An easy read
Another archeological thriller. This one is an easy read entertaining and light. Decent concept, though dialog is a little stilted.
