I have enjoyed this story and the narration enough to download the second book just now.

enjoyed the plot

the novel starts slowly with a lot of narration and not a lot of action. then suddenly it takes off and doesn't stop until the last chapter. it's a great and we'll written historical fiction. I recommend it to fans of Bernard Cornwell and Conn Iggulden.

Well constructed Viking fiction story. Keep your attention on every single chapter. I love it!

Whilst the content was reasonable, I found the narration, tedious and distracting, leading me to be easily distracted and threatening to "turn off".
I don't recall disliking a narration as I did this, and I cannot bring myself to continue the series,
such a shame...
