A great Read
A great story with excellent narration.
This story introduced the characters at a smooth pace, although a sad ending it portrays the hard work & dedication the lighthouse keepers endured,
This story gives a brief insight to how life was as a keeper in the 1800's to early 1900"s.
I got this book as a daily read special price but its worth full price.

Women of courage and Independence
This book is well narrated but do not expect it to be an uplifting story. It tells of what life was like for women of the particular eras that are covered in this story. Women of courage and of striving for some independence.

A most enjoyable book one I think you should read and enjoy.
The Lighthouse keepers daughter reveals the many different forms of love that can be found and lost. The love of the sea., the love of family the love of one another and the love of tradition and history. A warm sometimes stormy story, that is heart wrenching and heart warming.
Congratulations to author and narrator. E.J

I wasn’t sure I was going to enjoy this story, I thought I might have been a bit predictable and bland. It was in fact, excellent. Really well written and beautifully performed. I got swept up in the lives of the characters and ended up listening to the hole book over 4 days. A tale about finding courage to be yourself and finding a place in the world. Imogen Church makes the lives of the characters real, you feel their love and pain and hope. If you like Sarah Winnman, celest Ng, Rachel Joyce I think you will like this too.

A wonderfully woven tale
This is a beautiful tale about love, honour, and courage. It is a story for mothers, daughters, aunties and grannies. It's a little less nuanced at the end... but I don't want to give spoilers. Imogen Church has just the right voice for the narration. My hat is off to her for accomplishing a good representation of all the different dialects!
