About this listen

Everything you need to know about maintaining a relationship while swinging is in this book. This is your guide to developing a healthy and successful committed union that includes all the benefits of a consensually non-monogamous relationship.

The divorce rate in the United States is roughly 45%. Almost half of every marriage ends in divorce. This is one of the reasons open relationships, polyamorous relationships, and swinging relationships have seen an increase in the number of people participating in these non-traditional arrangements. Although these types of relationships are not for everyone, they can be successful if the couples involved take the necessary steps to build a strong foundation.

This book will help you understand how you can build a foundation that can withstand all the challenges that the Swinging lifestyle can bring. This is your first step to a happy consensually non-monogamous relationship.

I persevered through 20% of this book just so I could leave a review. The author, who also reads the book, has written the book based solely on his own personal experience in the lifestyle and is total opinion without any real authority to discuss it. He has written it from a position of personal insecurity (even states he is insecure in the lifestyle lately) and starts the book talking and about his failed relationships. A couple of examples of red flags include saying people shouldn't come on their own to lifestyle events since "I brought someone for you, you haven't brought anyone for me. It's like showing up at a pot luck without a dish" and saying that you shouldn't let your partner swap with someone else in a different room, because "without you there she might let herself go completely and enjoy it too much and make it too special and then she could leave you". I could go on, but basically he does not seem to have the emotional maturity to be a swinger let alone tell other people how to do it. He also reads the book very slowly and poorly and it needs to be sped up to 1.5 speed to sound like a normal pace. If you're new to the lifestyle there are many far better books and podcasts out there. This is not the place to start.
