Publisher's Summary

Randidly Ghosthound built a Class with his own hands.

Although he may now Level and rapidly earn rare Skills, the System isn't done with him yet. As the final hurdle to becoming accepted by the System, Randidly must lead a group of Zone 32's best into the Raid Dungeon and complete the assigned Quests. What starts as a simple horde survival mission becomes complicated when the Creature begins meddling again with his Fate.

Yet as it turns out, not all threats to humanity are alien ones. Because in other Zones, stand-out heroes like Randidly Ghosthound don't exist to curtail humanity's darker impulses. In the divided remnants of the country's capital, some powerful figures have taken a few sips of the power offered by the System and like the taste. They'll experiment on the bodies of the poor and forgettable to find out how they can wield the power of monsters for themselves.

Book 5 of the hit LitRPG fantasy series with over 50 million views on Royal Road.

I want more

Title says it all. Just give me more! The deep sadness when the book ends is real and I need another fix.

another good addition

the story progresses slowly, much like the spear advances
I like the direction everything is heading in, hank needs some work to make me like him as such a presence but other than that keen for the next

there might be an hour worth listening to

Randidly Ghosthound is the least featured character in this book. Chapters 2-75 can be skipped in their entirety with no loss. it is so frustrating having to navigate 32 different povs so you can actually read the story you paid for. I am done with this series, 30 hour audio book for 20 chapters of substance.

This book should be called side characters and some Ghosthound

Out of 30 hours, Ghosthound is in this book for 10 hours. When he is in the book, there is no progress. You get introduced to 20+ side characters that you won’t care about. You even get long sections talking about their stats. So yourself a favorite and skip this trash. I could barely finish this book. This series went downhill fast.

Ehhh

I love this series and the last 4 books have been great. This one has some issues, still sticking with the series cause it’s hard to capture lighting 5x. So I’m hoping for the next book to go back to the way the other ones were. It was a little slow, no major battles and it felt like little growth of the MC. It feels like this 30 hour book could have been condensed to 10 hours in a 4.5 book.

(sigh)...I'm not sure what I just listened to

I gotta says wish he'd never returned to earth, too many POV's that I don't care about not even sure why so many and relevance. at least when he was off world the focus was mostly him and 1 or 2 other perspectives now everybody gets a say. last book I said I'd see where this was heading and got this book with fingers crossed. well, fool me once....

Yeah, Randidly missing from his story

I agree with other reviews saying that Randidly was missing from this book. I get it, you do need to understand ghe larger scope of this new world and the motivations of other people populating it. However, the book is literally called “The Legend of Randidly Ghosthound”. The writer spent enormous amount of time in last four books concentrating on the MC; just to ditch the entire concept for other characters?! I mean “Hank” could be interesting; yet the books are not supposed to be about him. And out of nowhere, in book 5 (!!) to spend HOURS on HANK?! Why?! Who TF cares! I don’t…

A slog of 32 different viewpoints

I won't argue that this book adds to the world but Randidly is barely involved in half the book. Constantly jumping perspectives through myriad forgettable characters was difficult to follow.

problem

so what I'm getting from novay is that Randidly is going to become a side character in his own story. you also crippled your randidly by making a turnoment that I thought was over have a level cap of 25. why do you do this it's fucking boring and tiresome to listen to. I'm on the fence on whether I'm going to get the next book or not. I'm having a hard time listening to this book. also he has not solved anything. and I don't like how soft randidly is I can understand him caring that people are getting killed but I don't like is him being to soft to kill the bad people.

Worst one honestly.

There’s a bunch of hidden identity crap, and face changing. Too many perspective changes. I miss the series when it was mostly his perspective and didn’t have so much dang subterfuge.

I don’t think I’ll read the next one. The Ghosthound is no more at this point.

Back to dropping this trash

Dropping this series for good. Get a better editor no editor in their right mind would let this garbage get released there is no book couldn’t even make it 4 hours in. Literally had zero idea what was going on kept switching from person to person then even new people. It might be a bit easier to following reading, but listening it was impossible.

It's Good!

Overall its really good, swinging from sheer brilliance to some sections of lukewarm OKness . Instinctively, I'm inclined to label it as one of the better instalments. I found myself engrossed overall, but certain elements did prove to be frustrating. The inclusion of some supporting characters and side stories felt superfluous, and some of Randidly's actions occasionally left me scratching my head. However I definitely recommend it, a marked improvement over the Shal world shenanigans.

Good but not the best in rhenseries

Great performance, not my favourite book in the series. too much time with characters you don't really care about and second half felt a little aimless. Hopefully more time with Randidly next book

Great continuation of the series

Love the series, more progressions, skills and story like we would expect.
Little slow at points with the sub plot story’s and it did jump around from character to character a little bit too much. But overall, still loved the book and can’t wait for number 6
