About this listen

He's a billionaire heir. A grump supreme. Hater of people. Bigger hater of peopling with people. And my new fake boyfriend.

"Emotionally unavailable" doesn’t even begin to describe Hayes Rutherford. He’s cold. He’s distant. He has more defenses than a nuclear missile silo. And he’s the ultimate catch of the century. At least, according to his bank statement.

My job’s simple: Keep Hayes’ matchmaking relatives, and all interested ladies, away from the cranky, grumpy walled-off heir to my favorite movie empire, by pretending to be his one true love; and in return, he won’t ruin my life over a teensy tiny little misunderstanding.

But the more I sneak past his walls and fences, the more I realize that, while we might be from different worlds, we have more in common than either of us expected. The man under all the glitz, glamour, and dollar signs could be the real love of my life.

But you know what they say about fake-dating a billionaire: It’s all fun and games, until the scandals start.

The Last Eligible Billionaire is a swoony, laugh-out-loud romance, featuring a botched wax job, a woman in over her head, a man in over his heart, and the sweetest misguided dog to ever play matchmaker...or at least make sure these two anti-love birds never have clothes when they get out of the shower. It stands alone, and comes complete with grand romantic gestures.

The dog was my favourite character, not my usual genre but loved it and will look into more books from this author. The narrators were easy to listen too as well.

Laughed out loud!!

Funny quirky literally spat drink out during bits… super cringe romantic awesomeness!!! Undoubtedly I wanted more in fact it was sad to finish. Would have liked only more is the only downside, it built up really sweetly and I loved that this highlighted the second chance for something more after divorce. Very witty banter and overall story was an obvious cliche but was entertaining and totally worth the smiles and giggles it provoked.
Light hearted enough with some pretty deep waters to sink just enough into without crying along only to be swept up in the characters with robust personalities.

I don’t leave a written review unless I’d recommend it because I’d gladly reread but in this case the visuals this gave was rewarding enough to merit the review and hope that who ever needs a fun read to keep them distracted from the rest of the world for a while will gladly do so and enjoy it as have I.

The story will make you laugh out loud, cringe in the over the top declared emotions in parts, seek cover when you blush from the naughty moments which were definitely well placed and fall head over heels in love with the narration that brought it to life.

I’m smiling still as I think fondly of this book and finally add Ive never thought a dog could steal the stage without it being a pg read and I bow and admit I was delighted to be wrong. Thanks Pippa for your story on what otherwise would have been a difficult day for myself on Mother’s Day I was able to escape my grief in your world.

I’m sure Teddy you get compliments all the time but dam the timber in your voice *sigh *fanning self and Virginia thanks for making quirky and playful also adorable and sexy !!!

I loved Begonia and Hayes story, but I think Marshmallow stole the show. I love how the animals in Pippa’s books have a starting role.

Very funny and quirky. Just my kind of book. Narration was good too. I have left this review after my third listen and I enjoy it a little more each time.

Great story

Love Pippa Grant's books and this one was another winner. Awesome characters and the narration was spot on.

Delightfully bonkers

Pippa Grant has produced another romantic story that is full of love and laughter. Most of the laughter stems from the antics of one incredible dog. There's drama with family intrusion that makes the story more interesting but in a good way. Thank you. Read the book the first time around.
