Kayla Cox was a frustrated mom of three, who weighed 222 pounds when she discovered intermittent fasting. She eventually lost over 80 pounds using this method of eating, but she had mixed results at first. She finally realized her big mistake: she was making it too complicated. Great book

realistic achievable and amazing mindset for a successful plan. she is very relatable and described the triggers for a failed or successful weight loss plan.

Relatable

Kayla brings a different perspective to intermittent fasting- make it as easy as possible. She also made this approach of intermittent fasting her own.. and that’s one thing I learned from her- make whatever plan you choose work for you. If I had any criticisms it would be that she read the book a bit too fast for my preference. Listen to her on YouTube- six miles to supper- if you are on the fence about getting the book.

A+ Strategies for Intermittent Fasting Success

I read Gin Stephen's "Delay Don't Deny" and joined her FB group but felt constantly frustrated. Maybe I have a problem with authority (Gin's a former elementary school teacher) but her constant harping on "Clean Fasting" got on my nerves and although you have to take a pledge to not debate this way of eating in order to be in her group I couldn't help questioning this do or die ultimatum. All of this is by way of explaining how I ended up finding Kayla Cox's book. Kayla's guide is jam packed with tips, hints and how-tos to make Intermittent Fasting not just do-able but easy. I have listened to the book and am now awaiting the paperback in order to be able to flip back and forth through it. That's one disadvantage of listening to rather than reading self-help books (and one reason why I'm ordering the paperback even though I also have the Kindle version). Bottom line: I find Kayla not only resourceful but completely relatable and I can't wait to get started implementing all her ideas. Actually I have already started on one -- adding cream to my black coffee during fasting hours. I want to revisit this review in six months (I've added a prompt in my calendar) to report on my progress. Gin's book is full of the "why's" of how IE works, this book is the User Manual of "How" to stick with it and make it work and in the process find loads of time to harness your new-found energy and figure out a bunch of other problems, not just food-centric problems, either. Worth it!!
My only petty complaint is Kayla's accent. But I try to overlook it because it just makes her sound like a real person rather than a narrator.

Laid Back IF is life changing

Kayla Cox has done the heavy lifting for us by laying the groundwork for a pragmatic weight-loss approach that allows one to eat whatever foods are desired with a healthy dose of low-impact exercise. All that is needed is patience and consistency for this new approach to take root and create sustainable change. Thank you, Kayla!

Great!!

I was worried when I got it ended up being something I was looking for. Told my niece about it and she likes it. I used the method and I lost about 8 pounds in a week.

Straight forward advice

Enjoyed listening to this book. Kayla gave a straight forward non-intimidating approach to a plan that she has succeeded using and has great advice for anyone looking to use OMAD as a personal means to weight loss/lifestyle change

great book

loved this book, definitely is helping me get back on track with OMAD and IF, I took a lot of notes and she answered a lot of questions that I just couldnt seem to find anywhere else. for example being a woman I struggled with hunger during a certain time of the month I couldnt seem to get past that and it always made me fall off the wagon but with her tips on how to deal with that I know I can move forward. That was one thing a lot of books on IF and Omad that always left parts like that out. would definitely recomend.

Listened to it in one day with great enjoyment.

Some think they cannot do it but it becomes easier each day and the way you feel is glorious. She has the right approach. Do not start off with once a day but fast 8 hours at first and each day extend it to at least 14 hours and you will feel great.
