I thoroughly enjoyed this delightfully written, slightly wicked tale of love and intrigue within the ton. I enjoyed the characters who exhibited charm, wit and heroism in just the right amounts to completely outfox the scoundrels

The stories are full of danger and suspense, they have some poignancy, and the background details also add interest. They are well-written, and all books in the series are well-connected without being interdependent. Narration is very good. I long to have the other books translated into audible form!

A wonderful story, that grabs you from the very beginning. I have longed all through Rebecca’s last series to learn more of The Gent and it was well worth the wait. The Lady and The Gent is a well crafted tail of spies, of patriotism, of good verses evil, of the drawing out the best of one’s character even in the worst situations. Margaret and Rafe are the most wonderful couple. Thank you Rebecca Connolly for creating these two wonderful characters. I was dreamily lost in their story, and loved every word.

I wanted the gents story reading the last series and was sure we were going to get towards the end..but had to wait for this series, and some new characters into the mix as well. 😀
as always Rebecca Connolly delivers a book full of humour and interest. she is firmly one of my favourite authors. Do yourself a favor and read all her books... gotta go, 2nd in this series is calling me😊
