About this listen

The ancient races, the Vadhagh and the Nhadragh, are dying. By creating Mankind, the universe has condemned Earth to a pestilence of destruction and fear.

Prince Corum is the last remaining Vadhagh. He sets out on a crusade of vengeance against the forces that slaughtered his family and his race, to challenge the unjust power of the puppet masters of Man: the Lords of Chaos. Along the way he will barter with his soul for the limbs of gods to repair his mutilated body and will encounter a member of the very race who caused the mutilation, the irresistible Rhalina....

Performed by Nanette Savard, Chris Genebach, Tracy Olivera, Nick DePinto, Evan Casey, Todd Scofield, Scott McCormick, Andy Clemence, Thomas Keegan, Ken Jackson, Bob Payne, Eva Wilhelm, Matthew Keenan, Richard Rohan, Patrick Bussink, Terence Aselford.

I've been a fan of Moorcock's work for sometime and this presentation is excellent. I usually don't like audiobooks presented with a voice cast etc but this is the exception. Thoroughly enjoyed this and I highly recommend.

Stepping back in time. I read this book when it first came out and it has been a favourite and has been in my collection since then. Well worth listening to.

Fantastic. I’ve reread the Corum series over the years, and know it well. This version made it feel exciting and new.

Last read this in the 80s. Great to see it out again. The actors were good, but background music/effects were overpowering at times

Worth re-visiting

Loved the story moving and active.
I am an Eternal Champion fan but question some of the dramatic representations.
Whereas the hero came across as too wimpy then hyperviolent was 😞.
And the heavy Scottish voices don't match an ancient alien race.
Not what I imagined as suitable vocalisations
