Dont judge a book by its cover

I saw the cover and thought - yes this looks good. I ended up listening to it at 1.4x speed just to get through it. I really dont like leaving negative reviews but there was just nothing about it i liked. From the narration (dont be frugal just hire a professional as it was so difficult to listen to). i honestly learnt nothing new. Its hard to feel a connection to someone who comes from money but is "forced" to be frugal, felt kind of hollow. And the number of times the author refers to having a commonwealth job in Canberra..... if only everyone was so lucky, for anyone not living in the Canberra public service bubble it made it difficult to relate. Such a shame as i REALLY wanted to like this book.

Practical advice

Wonderful first audio book. Had never heard of her before and was drawn to this book as it pertains to Australia and has great practical advice.. Only downside is I wished I had purchased the hard copy to go back and reference the many items I will take action on. An added bonus is that the author also narrated the book. Loved it ❤️
