I’m also a little confused about how no one seems to be mentioning that the girl who just turned 16 that day, has two love interests and they are both like, ancient? As well as a king wanting her who is also presumably old af. Like, I’m uncomfy. I kept waiting for something to like “make it right” like actually she was much older but didn’t remember or something… but no, she really is just a minor
Although I did find the idea of the iron faeries clever and liked the little nods to Alice in wonderland, it was a bit boring and dragging, whilst simultaneously not explaining certain things enough.
But again me personally, I was just really bothered by the age stuff and maybe if i hadn’t been so fixated that i might have liked it, I’m not sure.but I have learnt my lesson about getting book recommendations from AI because I was listening to this at 2.5 just to get it over with
