Please note: this series contains mature themes and listener discretion is advised.
Lu and her friends are all hitting 50 and have no intention of learning to knit. Feisty and fabulous, this foursome is determined to grow old disgracefully. Join them on their journey across the desert and across the years to their home town and a school reunion, in this audio drama from the international best-selling author of The Bride Stripped Bare.
As for Lu - recently divorced, living with three demanding kids, always awaiting promotion at work - well Lu really believes she’s reached the age of invisibility. Love must be over for her. Or is it? Laughing, sometimes crying, ruthlessly honest and often downright filthy, Lu, Chip, Bianca and Flic share secrets while the desert roads turn treacherous....

I felt like I was back in Drama Class
The acting was terrible, the background noise and music was annoying and the dialogue was needlessly crass. No style, no wit and no comedy.

Great fun
Have not experienced a book in this way before - just like a drama performance. It was perfect entertainment as I was sewing away. Loved all the characters and real life situations of 50 something women.

Terrible
Predictable with stereotypes throughout. Just cringeworthy. Expected a lot more from Nikki but this fails to deliver quality characters and story line. Give it a wide berth.

Loved the story, and the characters were fun, but found the music so annoying had to keep moving fast forward, would have been so much better without it

Fabulous story
Listening to this book reminded me of the close bond I have with my 4 best friends. We’re all around 50 so similar age to those in the story. Loved it & great performances. Really relatable characters.
