The characters were realistic and had great presence. The story spans centuries of future history in such a way that it was easy to follow the logic of the progression and regression over many plot twists and turns.

Great story arc starting as a colony ship with impressive technology, scientists and engineers.

I loved reading this series, now I get to enjoy it all over again. The performance of the voice actor for this series was so damn good - I lost myself in the audible version as much, if not more than my first read of it. Well done to both author and voice actor. Bravo.
