Publisher's Summary

How can one writer hurt another where it really counts? The answer: attack his reputation. This is the problem facing novelist Richard Tull, contemplating the success of his friend and rival Gwyn Barry.

Revenger's tragedy, comedy of errors, contemporary satire - The Information skewers high life and low in Martin Amis's brilliant return to the territory of Money and London Fields.

Steven is Martin - Martin is Richard and Gwyn

The novel’s narrator is a fictionalised Martin Amis, Steven’s narration sounds very similar to the real Martin Amis. To this Australian’s ear Steven nails the Welsh, Serbian, Caribbean-English, Irish, and the other London and English accents within. As for the novel, Martin Amis will tell you that posterity is the only true judge, but 24 years have passed since publication so please allow me to speak for posterity and declare this a bloody good book.
