A devastating satire of literary life, as the unpublished and unpublishable Richard Tull plots the downfall of his fellow novelist Gwyn Barry. But how can one writer hurt another where it really counts – his reputation? This is the problem facing Richard, contemplating the success of his friend. Revenge tragedy, comedy of errors and contemporary satire, The Information skewers high life and low.©1995 Martin Amis (P)2009 BBC Audiobooks Ltd Fiction Genre Fiction Literary Fiction Comedy Witty

The novel’s narrator is a fictionalised Martin Amis, Steven’s narration sounds very similar to the real Martin Amis. To this Australian’s ear Steven nails the Welsh, Serbian, Caribbean-English, Irish, and the other London and English accents within. As for the novel, Martin Amis will tell you that posterity is the only true judge, but 24 years have passed since publication so please allow me to speak for posterity and declare this a bloody good book.

Steven is Martin - Martin is Richard and Gwyn
