About this listen
TEN DAYS, TWELVE COMPETITORS, TWO MILLION IN CASH. ALMOST CERTAIN DEATH.
What at first appears to be a once in a lifetime opportunity for Damien Banks turns out to be the worst nightmare imaginable. Trapped inside a house with eleven strangers, and a booming voice known only as 'The Landlord', he is forced to compete not only for the money but for his life. And the life of his best friend and mentor, Harry.
Damien can trust no one, that much is clear, especially now that a list of crimes has appeared on the wall: CHEAT, MURDERER, ABUSER, WHORE, TRAITOR, TRICKSTER, PEDDLER, PREDATOR, CRUSADER, THIEF.
What does the list mean, and who is the Landlord? Only time will tell, but Damien must make sure that he ends up the winner, because all of the losers are dead. Let the games begin. Are you ready?
The Housemates is the most twisted book yet from Horror Mastermind, Iain Rob Wright. Fans of the Saw movie franchise and lovers (or haters) of reality TV will delight in the tortures that await them. An unforgettable tale of squeamish horror. Buy your copy today.

Big Brother Meets Saw
As a standalone novel, The Housemates is a gripping and suspenseful read—imagine a fusion of Big Brother and Saw. The story keeps you on the edge of your seat, making it incredibly difficult to stop reading or listening.
However, one notable drawback is its striking similarity to another book by the same author, Escape. While The Housemates was published first, Escape follows a nearly identical plot structure, with only changes in setting and events. The twists and overall narrative feel recycled.
If you haven’t read or listened to Escape, The Housemates will likely be a thrilling and fresh experience. But if you're familiar with Escape, the story may feel repetitive—almost like déjà vu..
