Outstanding

The best of the Seeker stories so far. Animated narration gives life to the story.

Seeker

I have enjoyed all the books and am sad to think this is the last we will having about Damian Seeker we could all do with him in our lives. The end could have been better (epilogue) felt it was a little rushed for the end of five books but that is just me .Over all the series has been great x Jonathan Keeble was as usual a one man theatre company with all the voices he manages ,great performance as always

Brilliant, as usual

Every one of Ms MacLean's novels are the work of the finest craftsmanship (craftsmanship?). Add to that a top vocal performance and you have audible gold.

Not as compelling as the rest of the series.

I agree entirely with those who feel that this was not as engaging as the previous Seeker books. We do miss the characters from the other books and John Carpenter is not as compelling as Damian Seeker. The story is tangled with slightly too many plotlines. I kept on forgetting who knew what about whom. This might have been a better book to read them to listen to. Did seem abrupt and to a certain extent disappointing. Spoilers already have indicated what might happen next and where. I could see a plot dealing with what happens when Charles II seeks his revenge on his father’s killers. And - I would like to be reunited with the Illingworths. Still a pretty good book though and I will look out with interest for whatever the author does next as I have enjoyed both the Alexander Seaton and the Damien Seeker series.
