About this listen

Following on from The Magician’s Nephew and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, this is a classic fantasy adventure from The Chronicles of Narnia.

Desperate to escape a harsh and narrow regime, two runaways unwittingly flee headlong into the centre of a terrible battle. This first sequel to The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe includes all the hallmarks of its famous predecessor, though this time the fate of Narnia is wound up in the lives of its own children – and a talking horse!

The world need more storytellers like C S Lewis .

This third book of The Chronicles of Naria is a wonderful look into the lives of the children from the wardrobe. The moral value and goodness of the story warrants its inclusion in any school curriculum. A fable of good and evil and the gray areas in between.

Adventure

Liked it all, especially the ending. But we missed King Peter. We enjoyed meeting new characters.

The feeling of unbelonging.

This is my most favourite of all the Narnian stories ❤️ the sense of coming home

What stood out the most was the four main characters and the bad guy with 200 horse all racing each other to get to Narnia

I disliked when all the voices got really soft and it was hard to hear so I would turn the volume up and then suddenly it got loud and I had to turn it down again. Bit otherwise everything was great.

Surprisingly great story

I'll admit, the first half of the book was a struggle but trodded onward regardless.

Then it all wrapped up very well.

Great performance by the reader, as I've mentioned in previous reviews; I enjoy the different voices, it keeps me engaged and minimizes confusion.

overall, 5 stars from me. Another great book.

Beautiful literature, a family classic..

Can be enjoyed on its own or read as part of the Narnia collection..

I have re read it as an adult of 56 and lived it and loved it again.

Just adore these books

I first read these books as a child, and have continued to love them into adulthood. I’m not a religious person, but nonetheless love the story and same behind them. The narrator of this particular book reminded me of Sir Anthony Hopkins in some places, and he was very well spoken, however, win the storyteller does the voices of certain characters did make me cringe a little.
