Publisher's Summary

Four years ago, presidential candidate's daughter Lindsay thought Drew betrayed her, but now he's back to prove himself. Will she let him?

The last person Lindsay Bosworth expected to be her head of security as she left the meditation center/mental institution she'd called home for the last four years after a violent attack was Drew Foster, her ex-fiancee.

The guy who did nothing while three of his friends violated her on streaming video. Not one damn thing.

As her parents reveal the real reason she's been released, and Lindsay's life continues to be in danger, she doesn't know who to trust.

And if she gets it wrong, she’s dead.

Drew proves himself, time and again, saving her from certain danger as she draws closer to him, hating herself for conflicting feelings so strong she can’t deny them.

But when her attackers play a cat-and-mouse game that reignites old fury, Lindsay decides she’s done being a victim.

Time to make everyone pay.

Because revenge is never harmless.

So good!!

I listened to the Audible version of this series and loved it! The characters and storyline were expertly written with plenty of intrigue and angst.

Sebastian York and Andi Arndt are my 2 favourite narrators who complement this story perfectly.

I'm off to find the next installment.

Harmless Review...

Really liked books 1 & 2, with so many twists and emotions. Book 3 brought closure, but still had some questions about some of the characters. Which is why I guess I need to listen to the next installment. My favorite narrators always rock the story, taking it to the next level - excellent work!

So Much Inner Dialogue

This series really should have been one book at half its length. I think I would have enjoyed it much more if 1) it wasn’t so drawn out by way too much droning inner dialogue, and 2) every tense, exciting, or intimate scene wasn’t interrupted constantly by repetative said inner dialogue. It took me completely out of the scene preventing me from getting lost in the moment. I could have looked past the unrealistic storyline and dialogue if the author could have just let me do that.

Liked the mystery and the romance but

I enjoyed this book and the narrators did a decent job. But it was just too long. With too much inner dialogue.

A beautiful story of two souls destroyed by a brutal gang and redemption seemed with two souls finding each other

I love this story , though it starts out with a brutal episode of violence attack and Lindsey having to come home to be a puppet to her parents seeking presidential status. As you keep reading, you wish also for vengeance, for the truth and mostly for both of them to be together and for justice

My heart kept pounding

This whole series made me feel deeper then I thought I would, it is dark and painful, it has triggers and does take on a ride with twists and horrible family life.

Really great story!! Engaging & intriguing

From the get go this story catches you and it becomes a game of "Who done it?" and Cat & Mouse! The story has many layers and you find yourself on the edge of your seat because there are twists at every turn. The narration is outstanding, as always. Andi and Sebastian are just great at what they do, and they convey the sense or urgency very well.

Great narration, exciting thriller

This is a three book box set. The first book is told from Lindsay’s point of view. The second is from Drew’s point of view. The final book covered both their points of view. The narrators fit the books so that the first book was told solely by Andi Arndt, the second by Sebastian York and the third had the dual narration. What can I say about Andi Arndt and Sebastian York that hasn’t been said before? They are great- some of the best narrators. Sebastian York has a very distinctive voice too and both are so easy to listen to and play out all the roles so well. They add so much to each story.

Now, the story. Ok, this was a tough one. Just hearing about what happened to Lindsay and Drew over and over again was really difficult to take. I really wanted the people to pay, and to pay quickly. But this was a cat and mouse type of story. But who is the cat and who is the mouse? Full of suspense, intrigue, danger and romance (tempered by the darn bad situation the heroine and hero are in) and the book reeled me in and kept my attention.

I thought it dragged a bit. It could have just been that I REALLY wanted the bad guys to get the comeuppance. It could be because I really hated some of the supporting cast, like the parents (as a parent myself, I really wanted to slap them silly). Or it could be that there was a bit of repetition (for instance, the number of times we had to read about what happened to Lindsay was a little too much, in my opinion). I don’t know if this would be a trigger to people but to me, I cringed…a lot. Still, good thriller, interesting and narrated perfectly.

3 stars

A Harmless Little Game (Harmless, #1):
4 stars

While this one is totally different from the previous boxset I've read, it was still a good intro into this (Harmless) Series. Def. is a more sensitive subject. I just felt things moved a bit slower around the halfway mark. Towards the end of course is when things pick up.

A Harmless Little Ruse (Harmless, #2):
3 stars

This one just moved a lot slower than I thought it would. I still want to read the next one to find out some answers.

A Harmless Little Plan (Harmless, #3):
3 stars:

This was just an ok conclusion to the series. I think the main thing was that the main couple wasn't my fave. I do look forward to reading more Meli Raine books.

Andi Arndt and Sebastian York did a good job narrating.

I received this book at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Wow

Holy wow, gonna be honest, this is the first time I have heard of this author and bought it only because it had my favourite narrators and the synopsis seemed ok, but this trilogy blew my mind!! I was crying in the first chapter.... I have never had such an intense feeling as I have had from this collection of stories. This must have been an extremely difficult story to write and the subject is incredibly hard. I will definitely recommend this 100%
