About this listen

Suspense. Secrets. Suspicion. Scandal. Storytelling that will keep you guessing until the very end. THE GUEST is the nerve-shredding new novel from the author of global bestseller BEHIND CLOSED DOORS.

Iris and Gabriel have just got home from a make-or-break holiday. But a shock awaits them. One of their dearest friends, Laure, is in their house - sleeping in their bed, wearing Iris' clothes, even rearranging the furniture. She has walked out on her husband - and their good friend - Pierre over his confession of an affair.

Iris and Gabriel want to be supportive. But as Laure's mood becomes more unpredictable, her presence begins to unravel secrets in all their pasts - until things reach breaking point ...

I devoured the book. Although slow to start, the book got increasingly interesting. The end took me out a bit though. it would have been more interesting if there were breadcrumbs hidden throughout the book for us to piece together the ending or at least have a 'ahhh' moment at the end.

Great listen

This book is excessively lengthy, featuring an abundance of dialogue between rather unlikable & shallow cast of characters set in an implausible privileged world. It is perplexing how it has received such high ratings.

Only mystery here is that it has received such high ratings
