Very abridged
I wish I had known that this was only about a 1/3rd of the actual story. The production is awesome but it’s not complete.

Sad and Beautiful
Where does The Grapes of Wrath (Dramatized) rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This was so good! There were many recognizable voices to represent each character. This family struggled so hard to survive and went through so many trials and tribulations. I'm not sure I would have been able to get through the book had I read it, but listening to this soundtrack kept it interesting. This was my first time listening to this classic and I was shocked by the ending.

Dramatization killed it for me
This was my first listen to a dramatized version of a book and I realized I do not like them. I thought the story was solid but the acting made it hard to follow for me. I missed the language of it. I enjoy the explanations of setting and character. I think I'd like to try the unabridged, undramatized version to see if I like that any better.

Gripping story.
I had read this book in eighth grade and now with new interest in refugees and migrants, I decided to revisit it. This is a great story and the dramatization in this audiobook is fantastic. I felt like I was there the whole time

Classic
John Steinbeck's finest. A classic work that tells the important story about what it means to be human. Read it again

Still Important
We are living in our own "dust bowl" at this moment. As I was listening, I thought of how people today were dealing with hardship through no fault of their own. This audio book makes me want to reread the novel.

Good Program
Very well done overall. A few places are hard to follow, just listening and not seeing the play at the same time. Still, it's worth a listen.

Mostly Average...
What did you like best about The Grapes of Wrath (Dramatized)? What did you like least?
The cast of characters to play the roles of the principles in the book, the Job family did a very good job with the dialog and it was very good.
What did you like best about this story?
The story of the family hardships was well described and pretty much followed the book.
Which scene was your favorite?
The scenes in the camps were the best.
Do you think The Grapes of Wrath (Dramatized) needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
Not really. Besides those times are past and Steinbeck is no longer with us.
Any additional comments?
I think this audio version was a little bit too short, and maybe I should have chosen one that was a little more fleshed out with more detail in the story.
