I really tried to like this book....

Plot is predictable, but good. I had a difficult time liking MC. I felt like the story was forced into the Regency time period. In my opinion, it would have fit better in the Victorian era. I would have liked it more if I had read instead of listened to it. Narrator sounded like Moaning Myrtle. She made the females sound insipid and juvenile with high wispy voices.

enjoyable

a good, fast moving plot. clear characterisation, entertaining dialogue, very well read. main criticism, plots (especially plan at end for the docks) got very complex, too intricate. simple could be better.

Narrator makes or breaks an audiobook

In this case we are talking about a huge break. Much batter if you read the book yourself. A real shame.

Long but ok story

I got through the entire book, it’s long but interesting. It kept my attention. You might need a cold shower after the sex parts! I got bored and skipped past them, been there so didn’t need instructions!

Great Story, wonderful Performance

A Great Intertaining Story and a wonderful performance. The Narrated Flora MacDonald was very good I liked the way she distinguished between the male and female voices. A great Hero and Heroin. It was very cool that the cousins where Identical and loved each other very much, makes you wish for a cousin like that. It was a very good listen. I liked it very much.
