He makes her feel seen, heard, understood and let’s be real, the man sets the bar SO HIGH. He learns sign language just so he can talk to her forever?! Makes her favourite meals? Brings her wildflowers in a mason jar every. single. day.?? That’s it Miles Falcon has officially claimed the title of my favourite Blakely MMC. No competition.
And Leighton!! I adored her. She’s a total girl boss fun, confident, independent and the hearing loss rep was portrayed so beautifully. I loved how her character was written with so much heart and depth. This book also delivers on one of my all-time favourite tropes: found family. The friendships, the bromance between teammates, Leighton’s bond with the girls it made my heart so full. I giggled, I swooned, I even cried. It had everything.
I also listen to the audiobook as well Jason Clarke and Samantha Brentmoor narrated in duet style (my fave duo!!) and brought Miles and Leighton’s story to life in the most beautiful way. Truly perfection.
